      When you consume food, any excess energy or intake not used is stored as fat and takes about 12-24hours.

      Fat cells live for an average of ten years. Once a fat cell dies the body makes a brand new one to take its place.

      Comparison to animals depends on the diet of the animal and how long theu spend lying down.
