      So I am guessing you mean how does body fat formed. So our fat stores in the body are called adipose tissue and they consist of special cells called adipocytes. Adipocytes main role is to store fat that comes into the body from the diet or made from excess carbohydrates and protein. The reason we store fat comes from how we evolved as when food was scarce back in caveman days the stored fat could be used as a source of energy for the body until food was available. Carbohydrates can be turned into fat by the liver if they are in excess of energy required, they are then stored in adipocytes.
