Good question. I honestly didn’t always love science. I liked some parts, but didn’t like others. I found all the plant stuff quite difficult and couldn’t see the point in it. But I continued to read different sources – not just text books. I’d read blogs online by people who made it interesting, i’d watch youtube videos to understand things I couldn’t grasp from books. Good science books (not text books, but ‘popular science books’) helped me too – sometimes they can be a bit dry, but the really good writers will convince you that science can be interesting and loveable.

The other thing for me was finding a part of science that interested me. I got really interested in health, and realised that i needed science to take me further. That motivated me to understand more, and I didn’t have that motivation before!

I didn’t like all the sciences when I was younger, I still struggle with physics, but u found a science that interested me and that was enjoyable. There are lots of different types of science, from sport science, forensic science biological science, through to physics or chemistry etc. I think teachers and the environment can influence your interest as well.so you may need to find other ways to learn and then hopefully enjoy it more.good luck with it all
