I became a scientists because I wanted to learn more about science and use my brain and my intellect to contribute to our scientific understanding of how our bodies work and what goes wrong when we become obese/ill. I hope that this will help the patients suffering from such diseases in the long run.

At school I really enjoyed PE and doing sports, I also quite liked human biology. When I was choosing my A levels I thought about what jobs or degrees I wanted to do and Sport Science seemed to be the logical step for me. At Uni I developed a love of the research and this lead me on my journey as a scientist! But deep down we are all scientists exploring the world around us and questioning things!
