• Question: Do you believe your study could help in finding a cure for cancer in the future?

      I’m afraid not – I’m not going to be working on cures. I also don’t really believe that we’ll see cures that easily, but I hope one day in the far future we will. But amazing breakthroughs happen all the time (like one last week in women with a specific type of breast cancer).

      My research is more focussed on preventing cancer from happening. For example, by encouraging people to eat healthily, give up smoking, and get plenty of exercise. I hope these will contribute to reducing the overall burden of cancer in the population.
