So an unsaturated fat contains at least one double bond. one double bond is called a poly-unsaturated fat and many double bonds a poly-unsaturated fat or PUFA. You find unsaturated fats in foods like avocados and nuts. Unsaturated fats are thought to lower cholesterol in your blood and reduce the chance of heart disease.

PUFAs are found in fish like salmon called Omega-3 fatty acids, your body can’t make these alone therefore it is important to include them in your diet.
